In Response To: Rubicon X problem (Alric) : Uhhh, this might not be the best place for this but...I can't get Rubicon X
You actually want Aleph One in the "Rubicon X f," not in "Rubicon Data." Scenario designers take note: many people are having this problem with Rubicon X (and Portal of Sigma, which also uses the awful "Data" folder MML hacks). Mess around with where files are supposed to be located, and change things from what people are used to, at your own peril. Or, perhaps, at the peril of those of us answering "I can't get this scenario working" questions on the various forums. While I'm ranting, if you do this anyway, and you over-ride Aleph One's error messages (which you should never, ever do, because they change from release to release and if you have changed them in strings MML, it will display the wrong errors and make our lives very difficult trying to debug problems with people using your scenario) in MML, at least make the missing shapes/sounds/map error message give the user correct instructions on how to get the game working ;)
