: takes place on a terraformed moon of a distant planet. At one point we're
: told by one derranged AI that if we follow another derranged AI, life
: support will fail. Sure enough on the next level, we see our O2 meeter
: dropping even though the sky is overcast. One scenario you can play with
: AO is Ben Potter's Fell, which includes a level called The Felt Need. It's
: a "vacuum" level, but you are told at the beginning that the
: Pfhor are purging their systems and can subsist on nitrogen, chlorine and
: fluorine, but you can't.
I did ploay some of Fell, and it was good, but confusing.
The bottom line is that there undoubtedly is an
: atmosphere in the Land in the Sky - you just can't breathe it. Snow
: doesn't have to be made of water - you're familiar with dry ice, which is
: frozen carbon dioxide, and methane is known to form ice, snow and clouds.
: And of course the trees may be based on an entirely different metabolic
: system than oxygen. More important than all these things, however, is that
: this is a dream level - anything goes.
Yeah, I even thought about all tha when I was posting (not in that much detail though) anf figured I should post it anyway, for my own peice of mind, and to see what others thought/said.
: I think that this was deliberate. We play variations of this same level at
: the conclusion of each successful branch of each chapter. Each time we
: ascend further before being allowed to drop into the hole.
I just don;t like it much, is all.
