I have no problem for it not being included. I have a problem it not begin included FOR REASONS STATED by 343. If they had simply said it wasn't included due to technical difficulties, that would be the end of it really. The fact is though, not wanting to fragment the player base and not trying to 'taint' the game seem like poor justifications.
In the end though, this isn't a strike against the game, since as a port it's automatically as good as the original as a baseline, which also lacked XBL multiplayer. I can't see anything they are doing actually making the game worse, so it will probably be very good. It's simply up to each of us to decide whether it's worth the money, which is a decision you can really only make yourself.
