I was trying to use your analogy and a lot got lost in translation

At this point "baseball" (H1 MP online) isn't an option because it doesn't exist. The only choice is "football" (Reach). Now just because recess on Monday is "football" doesn't mean that we can't play "baseball" on Tuesday.

If it was still possible to find a match in Halo 2 during Reach's prime, I don't think that a Halo 1 remake is going to suck up 100% of the Halo population.
