And this im pretty sure is down to somthing, say in game you notice cairo is acutally lacking completey any point defense weapondary, either not modelled or an over sight, well, strictly speaking in the 'haloverse' if we take out game mechanics etc, im sure that tehse stations would have point defense, the tactic of using hundreds of bombs likely wasnt chosen due to the fact that the bomb would need to be wired up to detonante upon impact, and considering the suddern improvisation of the battle i doubt the covies had time. : It's a tremendous oversight on Bungie's part.
