| Why didn't the Covenant just shoot the MAC's?? | |

I remember the summary of Fall of Reach saying that Blue team(Led by Fred) was trying to save the generators for the orbital super MAC's so that the hunman fleet could get a slim chance to defeat the covenant fleet. The MAC's demolished a full third of the covenant fleet; the human fleet was creamed. Just how much of the fire was directed at the SMACs? Again, in Halo 2, the three-Mac battery formed by Malta, Athens and Cairo blast Regret's pathetic armada. Regret plants bombs on the three via boarding craft; the first two stations are blown up. But the trouble is: one of the assault carriers shredded a UNSC cruiser with a laser-like weapon. Couldn't the covs simply have shredded the most powerful cannons first and dealt with the far weaker UNSC craft later? | |
