Also, you're not going to fire a heavy MAC round at a Boarding Craft, only twice the length of a Pelican, in the depths of space. Cortana said the Covenant fleet jumped in "just outside the kill zone", so the MACs couldn't quite fire at them at that point, yet an officer on Cairo stated there were incoming "Boarding Craft, and lots of 'em!" If the MACs could be taken out from within before the Cruisers and Carriers came in range of them, that sounds like a pretty good tactic to me. |
