Yes, that was in M2. I think it makes sense, too - the Lava F'lickta are immune to lava and live in incredibly hot conditions. The plasma pistol does nothing more (I think) than just shooting out a shitload of heat. So, if they're heat-resistant to such an extreme as to be immune to lava, then it makes sense that they're immune to plasma.
