In Response To: Eternal Mk IV (Andrew Nagy)

: Did you get the sprites from Ian in time? Will there be an in-game apology
: terminal or something, explaining why the enemies described in the
: terminals are absent? And/or maybe another mark-release when the sprites
: arrive, but I guess the Eternal Team should be deciding things like that.

The Drinniol are imported for Ch4, but I've had to make due with some modified Pfhor for Ch5. That's not too different from what the final sprites will be like anyway...

: The title music needs to be in a format that works with Aleph One SDL.

Done.

: Are the Pfhor doing anything in particular in Un-Wired? Its only significance
: is that it's part of Durandal's core, but they don't know that or they'd
: have Compilers there. Maybe they just stopped to rest on the way to some
: big offensive, or something.

It's not really Durandal's core, it's a wireless transponder doodad... that's just adjacent to his core. Core Done Blew is Durandal's core.

: How come I'm pointing backwards at the start, towards the dead-end sewage
: tunnel and away from the monsters and terminal?

Cause I felt like disorienting new players, cause almost every scenario starts you off directly facing your first terminal. This way people will wander around for a bit. Story excuse: you're beaming back across 111 years of time and 92 lightyears of space, with minimal telemetry. Be glad you didn't end up in a wall.

: == Stark Raven Mad

: What's up with all the terminal textures showing purple Pfhor and orange
: S'pht logos?

Matches the color scheme better, and not too different from the originals. I've taken some artistic license. Mk V's term picts are somewhere between the original color and the color on the terminals, so the effect is less jarring.

: Have you thought about adding the M1 Pfhor/Sfiera textures for just
: "Raven"? Would that require editing the Shapes file? I guess it
: would harm the experience to leap between your art style and Reginald's
: like that.

Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

: Tycho’s dry emotionlessness doesn’t seem like the ideal way to reveal
: interesting story details like Hathor’s motivations. Maybe you were going
: for a specific effect, but I just see something that’s not fun to read.

I was going for dry and emotionless, I'm glad that came through for Tycho. I wanted to emphasize the difference between normal old Mr Scientist Tycho of Ch1 and the unnervingly crazy merged-clone Tycho of Chapter 2.

: Does it make sense that Lava F'lickta are immune to the plasma pistol? Was it
: like that in M2?

I didn't change it, so they must be.

: Any way to make the S'pht Bobs less likely to block your path?

I don't know. Anybody have any ideas?

I've snipped the rest of the bits of this cause some are fixed in Mk V and the rest aren't going to get fixed in the next 20 minutes. But I'd love to hear your bug reports again once you've played through Mk V :-)
