: I feel that such a direct access into the Covenant is wrong. I would much
: have prefered learning about the Covenant by fighting them, and picking
: things up on the way, such as we had to do up until "The Flood."
: I don't want to be given the opportunity to develop pathos for a
: particular member of the Covenant. I don't want to be able to develop a
: pathos for anything having to do with the Covenant at all.

Right or wrong, what has been done has been done.
You can hide under a rock or stand up in defiance.
Either way, the story continues...

Knowledge is power Shish, but it does not come without a price.
Spoilers come often too easily, but as you imply, they spoil the experience.
Finding things out for yourself, with blood, sweat, and tears, yields the most satisfaction.

Heed that knowledge achieved too easily beguiles its value and responsibility.
The power that comes from such knowledge has a price of responsibility, responsibility to uphold its value, but how can one value something that came as a gift?

So if it helps make you feel any better, I suspect we've ain't seen nothing yet. There are many tales yet to be told and all the pieces will not ever fit nicely together.

What we know is nothing.

I'm with you Shish, I want to experience the story myself and make my own story from that experience. Only I don't mind spoilers so much, because as time progesses, things change and the world goes on -- Someone always talks, gives away a spoiler or two. It doesn't always spoil the experience to know a bit of what is to come, in the olden days it was called foreshadowing.
