: A couple of things stand out for me. One was being out front, putting badges
: together. We were right by the front doors, and there was a small crowd of
: 10 or 15 people visible. At one point I poked my head out the door to see
: if more folks had shown up and learned that there were a couple hundred ,
: lined up all the way around the corner. Miguel showed up about then and he
: wandered out, showman that he is, and hung around with the crowd for a
: bit. While out there, he not only found Randy Glass, who no one had been
: in touch with all afternoon,

Yeah, I was getting a little worried! I had been at the con for a few hours and hadn't seen anybody from HBO. Fortunately I saw deanero (thanks for the couch) wearing one of CYBRFRK's custom HBO shirts. After jumping back in line we saw Miguel, Achronos (I think), and a camera crew emerge from the E3 entrance. They pulled us out of line and rushed us to the front (if they broadcast that, look for the goofball, moi, giving the heavymetal devil sign).

: Another thing was seeing Jason Jones show up and subject himself to the
: scrutiny of the crowd. He's a friendly, normal guy in person, but I get
: the feeling that being in front of crowds is not his favorite thing to
: do. The fact that he did it, though, says a lot about him and a lot about
: this fan community.

I really liked the Q&A with the Bungie employees.
It was funny listening to Joe and Marty zing each other.

I thought the raffle went on a little long. Too many goodies I guess.

It was cool having Jen there. I had a feeling that one of the voice actors would show up as the special guest.

Having the Bungie store there was cool. I should have bought more fanfest shirts!

Meeting all the HBO'ers was great too. It's nice to have a face to put with the names. Ya'll were just a bunch of nicknames floating in space before. ;-)

Meeting a bunch of Bungie folks. Holy crap you guys had a lot of people at the fanfest. For Microsoft's sake, I hope they didn't book you on the same flight there and back.

My only regrets were not meeting up with everybody for drinks or getting everybody together for a group photo.
If everybody shows up again next year, we definitely need to plan ahead (me most of all).
