Re: That Mr Soell...

In Response To: Re: That Mr Soell... (Shishka)

: Oh, heaven's no.

: While I do detect a notable amount of light hearted humor behind the message,
: I feel it's my divine providence to treat it seriously, as, while you may
: have been kidding, realize that thousands of trolls are lining up to say
: "Yah!1 wtf???"

: First, I'm going to point out that if you listen to game retailers for
: anything, your opinion is instantly invalidated. These are the same people
: that'll take your money and give you a game a year later. To game
: retailers, the customer is a tool. Ignore their liez.

: Next on the agenda, Bungie is known for its secrecy. Their lips remain shut
: partly because of their sado-masochistic nature (the love to torture fans,
: and are willing and ready to take the torrent of annoying "U R
: S3LLOUT WHOREBAGS!!11" e-mails. No e-mail, no matter how carefully
: created, or how much l33t is applied, will change this behavior. The otehr
: reason Bungie keeps secrets is because the hypemachine is a very dangerous
: thing, and even though they have a _great_ game to offer us, they'd rather
: we come into the game without a set opinion on "This is how the game
: is going to be."

: Last, for the nth time, I'd like to point out that Matt's updates for Halo 1
: were a priveledge, not a right. The idea behind the design was to calm a
: fanbase, nervous about the future of their most anticipated game after the
: company was acquired. The regular updating was actually unprecedented
: behavior for Bungie, so any who were around to experience it should feel
: lucky.

: In summary, if Bungie doesn't want to update, Matt will not update. If
: there's nothing to update about, Matt will not update. Since Halo 2's
: development is far more linear than Halo's was, Matt doesn't need to
: update. The fanbase can wait, if need be.

: So sit back down on your couch, and eat your damn cake.

: -S

Awww, common, I'm out of cake already, heck I ate the couch and the carpet. Now it's just me my TV and my Xbox. Long lonely, and rather uncomfortable since the loss of the couch, nights with nothing but sitting in front of my Xbox playing halo over and over again. I too sensed a certain amount of hidden humor in Rage's post, being the overly clever person I am. Here I sit in all my perfection and humility, on the cold hard cement floor. Please couldn't bungie tell us a little bit. Maybe just a little bit to keep me warm as a sit in my couchless, cakeless room. If they really can't talk to their adoring fans couldn't they maybe send me a pizza? And a soda, cause that couch was a little dry, reminded me of "sponge" cake. (ouch my head reels at that lame pun) I'd beg you for information Mr. Soell sir, but alas I have no ability to move. (You try eating cake and a couch, see if you feel like bending over much.) Just give us a little interview with you, let Louis ask you some questions and you give him some "mostly" honest answers. Let HBO ring forth with sounds of joy once again, as we devour our cake and your very words. (Sheese I'm a sap I think I'll go each that last leg of the couch.)
