In Response To: Not surprising (ax) As much as anyone, I'd like to hear reasons why Phoenix was canned. But this doesn't seem likely to me. Why would an RTS game be any harder to make controls for? Heck, seems to me it might be easier. Most of what goes on in games like Myth or Warcraft is selecting units and giving commands... could be done with a pointer moved by analog stick and contextual menus brought up by button clicks, with some functions hot-keyed to one or more buttons. What would be so hard about that? Units in Myth only had a few actions anyway (move, patrol, attack, control attack). That's only four functions. The Xbox gamepad already has more than that (six, plus triggers). Come to think of it... forget Phoenix anyway, what we need is an Xbox Live capable port of Myth 2! : Doing an fps game on a console is pretty silly... but a myth-like RTS game?
: MS needs quality games to get ahead of Nintendo, not crappy games. : -ax
