The Active Camouflage is arguably more useful than the overshield — which really doesn't supply all that much protection. All it mainly gives you is an edge, for those times when it comes down to a one-person-dead-the-other-person-with-1-block-of-life situation. The cloaking, though, can let you do some really nasty stuff :)
