Does anybody remember the TOTAL information blackout that started in mid-June 2000 (about the time of the buyout), and lasted until the first weekly update, in October, 2000? No screenshots, no movies, no word from Bungie - there was nothing. That's the PR machine you're saying was too good? They're pretty consistent - they understand that fans want info. If they had info they felt comfortable passing out, they'd pass it out. In the meantime, waiting is what needs to happen. There were plenty of people who weren't willing to wait during the LAST news blackout... and the damn game STILL sold a million copies in 5 months. :) |
