I have doubts about that... GS is obviously a very advanced AI, and if something as simply programmed as the HUD on an AR is able to differentiate between, for example, a Marine's arm and an Elite's arm, I'd think an AI designed to contain a very specific species (the Flood) would be using far more than mere visual sensors. A simple biological body-heat scan would probably show vast differences between a Grunt and a human. Not to mention that GS has sensors powerful enough to scan your suit, read its technical capabilities, and provide an evaluation of its combat strength ("class 12 combat skin") within moments of meeting you.
