Here's a post I dropped on the board to an earlier thread. Like I said there, I don't want to create a Creationism v. Evolution jihad on this board it's just that there are some limitations to the Forerunner/Human Ancestor theory in my mind and I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Here's what I wrote earlier:

I don't want to step on any toes regarding evolution versus creationism. I personally believe that it was evolution. The reason I do is because we see evolution all around us in a variety of systems:

Social- hunter/gather to urban dweller
Economic- beads/baubles/barter to the NASDAQ and hedge funds
Religious- mythological dieties to bibles/talmuds/korans
Biolological- AIDS viruses mutating into drug resistant strains
Technological- the wheel to the Hubbel Telescope
Scientific- alchemy to cloning
Agricultural- plows to drip irrigation in the desert
Intellectual- racism to acceptance and celebration of differences
Gaming- Pong to Halo

Back to Halo. Our history precludes the Forerunners being our ancestors *unless* only two made it to earth and they were called Adam and Eve. I suppose I could accept that twist.
