um... each time the loading screens come up it's a new environment loading...


  • new textures

  • new bumpmaps

  • new texturemaps

  • new sounds

  • new AI paths (scripted sequences... movies... etc.)

  • new lightmaps

I would assume that all of these are extracted and tossed onto the X-Box hard drive during the loading screens for quick access during the two second loads.

Of course, I could be wrong.
Maybe Chris can come slam me or commend me?

Of course, he could correct me too... but that would be too nice a punishment for me being wrong. ;-)
