| why WOULDN'T Halo 2 xbox be bungie's next project | |

They made some good games but only now are considered to be a blockbuster company. Everyone wants Halo 2 and everyone expects Halo 2, and to be blunt I don't think Bungie is idiotic enough to not see this. The only reason why Halo 2 wouldn't be for xbox is if it takes too long to make and the xbox is getting old. However, if they are in planning mode by now then we could be looking at maybe a mid-2003 release. They will catch xbox in it's prime, between early times when few have the system and later times when everyone wants the next one. If I were an employee at Bungie I would also want the chance for a Halo 2. So many things were canned due to the time restrictions on the launch. Halo 2 is an opportunity to use some of those concepts that barely made it in. Also to expand on the story that seems to be begging for a continuation. A Halo sequel would also be able to take aadvantage of the hardware because development would not be using mere prototypes.
