I can understand why, but it's the Han Shot First scenario again, right? The only difference in the Star Wars scene from 1977 is Han has the only laser blast, but in 1997, they added a second preemptive shot from Greedo's pistol first. It's meant to be the same scene, but there's an extra effect in one of them and it distracts the viewer. To make it like it's a part of the same scene, they should not have added anything to what's supposed to match the original. It becomes the tired cliché that because they can do a thing, they ought to. No. They could have started it trailing smoke as it rounds the hotel and crashes. It would've kept things consistent.
