In Response To: A blast from the past (scarab) : I don't remember this so it's new for me. I've seen a couple of other : trailers but I missed this one first time around. : Do you remember this? : As soon as you kill the Hunters that break through the door in the opening area of Outskirts, you can hear the exchange between Stacker and Cortana. The interesting thing is, if you are hearing it from the Chief's point of view, then Stacker has the radio static over the comm. If you see this video then we're with the ODSTs and Stacker's voice is normal and Cortana sounds like she's on the comm. Pretty cool. It gives you a definitive reference to when Stacker's story takes place in parallel with the Chief's. The subtitle on screen during Halo 2 is "A Day at the Beach". This additional cutscene is "Another Day at the Beach". Kinda the same thing going on at a slightly different location. Much of this cutscene takes place at the back entrance to the Zanzibar Hotel near where you get the first Warthog in the level. The geometry is all the same, no new elements were made for this cutscene. The only thing that doesn't quite add up is the Pelican that has the ODSTs on it is trailing black smoke in the additional cutscene, but was missing in the original Halo 2 scene. The other thing is the Pelican has far too much momentum going on to crash where we find it at the Warthog's location on the beach. It zoomed past the hotel and then banked around it for the crash. At the speed it was going, it would have crashed much further down the beach. Anyone else notice how freaking giant the pistols are in Halo? Look at the ODST wielding one when the Elite tosses the plasma grenade. :)
