In Response To: Re: Loftus, Fyrewulff, other Halo gurus... (Stephen L. (SoundEffect)) : I can't seem to see what it's saying. I followed those steps and see the same : sort of values for bipeds and weapons (like in the tutorial examples) but : not for vehicles. The vehicle section still looks like I added several : posts up. The Warthog has a forward speed of 7.75 and a reverse speed of : 3. Perhaps these are in World Units (the 3D mesh world of Halo measuring : 10ft to a World Unit). : If that's the case, then 7.75 WU would be 77.5ft. As a speed if that's
: Hope this is of help. Maybe my version of the app is out of date with theirs,
Sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. At first I wanted to know the length of the Hogs to use them as a yardstick for a test of the player's movement speed. You gave me all the lengths, which is great. But then I realized you might be able to just look at the player's max. movement speed on foot in the game code. That way I could compare the actual values instead of trying to deduce them from experiments. So I'm not looking for the speed of the Warthog, I'm trying to determine the default max. speed of a player on foot. Sorry if I confused you earlier. Now if you're saying that you couldn't find the movement speed for a player on foot, even in the matg - globals section, then I'll just assume that 2.25 is the correct value for max. player speed since I've found references to that number in 3-4 separate sources. Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it.
