Yeah, which is actually worse when you think about it.

I mean, first, aggregate scores based on data derived from various weighting/criteria is simply scientifically invalid. But on top of that, each rating is usually arbitrary or simply loosely based on how high profile a game is.

Yeah it's not a lot. Heck, it wasn't even that shocking to see that this happens... it's just disheartening to see that the industry is validating the works of current game journos. It doesn't bode well for improvement on that front, which is so desperately needed.
