(SoundEffect)) : I find it just the opposite. : What I secretly chuckle at is having seen so many of these and then folks : defend Halo 1 saying the levels were sooo much bigger than in Halo 3 or : whatever, or see that exploration options were so much grander, don't : realize how little in Halo 1 they really had exploration options. The : games weren't that far different in that regard. Halo 1 still offered more room for going off the rails than later games, especially the ones from Halo 3 on thanks to invisible walls being everywhere, plus AotCR is still the biggest Halo stage ever, not counting big, empty areas designed exclusively for vehicles (e.g., New Alexandria, the Saber sections on LNoS). Sure, CE isn't a big wide-open sandbox by any means, but it wasn't quite as constrained, linear, and restrictive as the other games were.
