Awesome, awesome writeup man. I'm gonna have to give it a second or third read for proper digestion. :-)

I really REALLY liked the theory about the Forerunner being organic, genetic AI's created by a superintelligent race distraught by the discovery of their lonesome plight in the universe. Talk about ultimate boredom; You've got literally NOTHING left to do but create a new race?! It stands to reason that there might be at least ONE among them that might want to create the antithesis of the Forerunner...nature of man and all that being what it is, not that Precursors are subject to the nature of man...or are they?
