I remember an interview with Frankie recently talking about the amount of bloom they'd end up using in the new playlists. I am not 100% sure of the wording, but the gist of what he said was that the bloom would be reduced, but probably not to 0% in most gametypes (I think maybe 85% was mentioned?). The reason I mention this is that he said something about the needle rifle becoming a power weapon with 0% bloom. At the time I assumed that was just due to its higher ROF, and the supercombine effect, which on their own could make it a hugely overpowered weapon without bloom. But after reading your posts here, I wonder if there was something more to the worries about the needle rifle?
