In Response To: Re: I Assassinated Claude Errera *IMGs/VIDs* *LONG (Louis Wu) : Start small. Our first lan was on a Sunday afternoon, and it was 11 people, : mostly local. (The farthest anyone came was about an hour.) You can work : out some of the inevitable glitches with this smaller group before you go : big. :) This is usually what my local ones are like. The most I've had was 14 people, but the event lasted maybe one long evening, or just a day. These are nothing to setup because my crew would typically arrive all at the same time (carpooling) and it wouldn't last long enough to warrant anyone staying over, and everyone lived local anyway. The Power issue is a very good point. I did not think of that. My roomies and myself are all in IT and god knows how many damn times one of us turns on that one extra computer/whatever and blow a breaker. Looks like I'd be telling everyone to unplug unnecessary shit. My main concerns are comfort for guests at this point. Space is adequate to me, but I know everyone is different. I'm of the mind that if I host, food and beverage are my responsibility so things like that I cover early. Messes are a non issue as well. Unless someone explodes pizza/dew everywhere..... Then its the dog's time to shine! :P You've given me some good things to think about. Lol I'm going to go home and start laying out tape on the carpet to measure how many sleeping bags I can fit in a room. It's gonna look like a crime scene :D I want to wait until the new maps come out so there is more content to play on, but at the same time that's November. And Ohio could literally be buried in 10 feet of snow or it could be 95 degrees out then, it’s so hard to plan. Maybe I'll just screw that and look at the late summer/early fall. Decisions, Decisions! Thanks again
