Where do you live? The first step I think is moving somewhere that has a network of creative talent, especially if you want to get into acting and writing. You can be a janitor anywhere. You might as well move to New York or LA and do it there. At least then you can surround yourself with people who do what you want to do.

And yes, I know it's hard to just leave. I put everything I could fit in my car and drove out to LA without knowing anybody when I was 23. Now I'm currently working on a major motion picture. You just gotta make it happen.

Also nobody will ever care what your high school or even college GPA was. All they care about is your body of work and your attitude.
