The only point where I found myself disagreeing with you is: A) When you said that Halo Wars has no lines as bad as "To War". "Don't kill him, and I'll come quietly" would like to have a word with you, na? B)Leaving Halo Wars for a minute, you mentioned that it's somewhat sexist (or part of what makes Halo 3: ODST slightly sexist) that the player gets to play as all the characters except for Dare. Part of the reason that might not have happened is because much of the mystery about ODST was what Dare was up to. It's hard to conceive of a level where... Huh. What if we played as her from her crash site, evading packs of Brutes coming in between her and Buck, while she tries to make it to the Superintendent? Maybe breaking into the subway to make her way to the New Mombassa Public Works Department building? You should be able to have her wander around without giving too much up... Where in the story would that have occurred?
