In Response To: Re: Sabre 'expert controls' challenge (bluerunner) : I finally got around to trying this last night. Maybe I'm weird, but I found : it a lot easier with the "expert" controls. They made more sense : to me. I had a hard time going back to the normal controls. I really wish : they had a toggle in the controls menu for this. Well it might not be that weird really. Depends what you're more used to, like mid7night. Or when people play a lot of racing games and then jump into a warthog and feel a bit lost at first. Being a somewhat regular player of flight sims, having flown a real aircraft, and yet still played a lot of more arcade like games like Rogue Squadron or Star Fox, I'm very comfortable with both control schemes, except for having to use the right stick instead of the left one. I'd also prefer to use both the triggers as the throttle and a button to fire, but that's the affect of countless hours using those different games. I prefer the feel of the 'expert' controls, but there is little doubt that I'm much quicker using the normal ones, primarily because you have more precise control over aiming. : I played the space combat section a couple of times last night, but I didn't : time it to compare with yours. Shame, lol. I haven't tried it again since then, mostly been in matchmaking or in bed, aheh.
