I agree... that's why I used the plural form of "studios". I did a lousy job of explaining the approach; the idea would be to standardise on an engine and a few common assets, so that everybody's working on common ground, then have multiple studios work on projects in parallel with overall direction from 343i. Make all the content "work for hire" so that assets can be swapped between studios/teams to streamline that, too, to save some more development time.

-- Steve'd want to look more closely at how Wideload's experience with the process worked for them before really taking up the cudgels for that, though. There could be some real concerns about consistancy between studios.
