In Response To: Re: Thoughts on AAs (esp. Bubble Shield and Hologr (Stephen L. (SoundEffect)) : I wonder how tactical it will end up being? When I play matchmaking, most : combatants, including myself, are jumping and changing directions a lot. A : hologram will move at (I presume) a uniform pace in a straight line with : no jumping. Without seeing it in action, I'm inclined to think they may be : painfully obvious on the battlefield. It'll be useful in predictable situations. For example - On CTF Powerhouse in the Beta it was pretty much guaranteed that the defenders would have a rocket guy in the base, and that he would kill anyone entering the flag room, but if you send in the holograms first, he wastes his shot. A less useful situation would be a charge across Blood Gulch. Sure, you could make it look like there's 8 guys running for the enemy base at first glance, but it'll be pretty obvious who's human and who isn't when the holograms don't shoot back and tend to follow straight lines towards their destination.
