In Response To: Halo: Reach Multiplayer Trailer (Devin Olsen) I am incredibly underwhelmed. Then again I have always been underwhelmed by Halo's multiplayer since the original Halo's sofa LANs. It just never really caught me. That's not to say it's bad, just that it lacks a certain thing. I'm incredibly into getting something back out of multiplayer games these days, such as BF2 and CoD4's XP system and unlocks that are more than just visual. THAT would keep me playing. Perhaps I've been spoiled by CoD, MMOs, and other games with persistence, but I just can't play multiplayer "one-shot" games that don't give you something tangible or useable in return for your game. But I know I am maybe the only one here who is into that. Jetpacks and new shiny tech is all very nice, but I'm going to be waiting to see them in single-player. Until then, I'm going to be that sad grumpy git in the corner of the party, whining about the lack of good beer. Have fun, and just try to ignore me. Then again, if character abilities are in-fact unlockable, expect me in a few games at some point.
