(InnerRayg) : And I know I brought this up back with Cal, but still, it continues to bug me : to this day that we somehow keep having more Spartans than we can. Unless : we are only supposed to believe they have died, two new Spartans have been : killed in the latest Legends video. : This is the breakdown. 75 original Spartan children. 30 are killed by : augmentation, 12 are too injured to be real Spartans, and 33 remain in : active duty. By the time we get to Reach, according to the latest source : of Halo Wars, there are 28 remaining Spartans. This means five total : Spartans died or went missing before Reach. To be fair, the other Spartan IIs are accounted for in Fall of Reach, when Halsey is bragging on them. she mentions that, in the last decade (between 2542 and 2552), Three Spartans died and one was too injured to continue. These four, with Samuel, bring us up to the number of 28. Therefore, it's pretty safe to say that the Spartan II roster hasn't made sense since Ghosts of Onyx. Halo Wars and Halo Legends are doing little to fix this solution, though.
