In Response To: Halo Legends Preview *VID* (ElusiveEagle519) OK, some of that does look awesome. I didn't agree with the guy's idea that you can't get enough Halo. But good Halo? I could enjoy some more good Halo. :-) There are problems for story telling caused by the difficulties of game production and the limitations of the FPS format for expressing characters' feelings that are not present in other mediums so, hopefully, they can express ideas or make characters' motivations and opinions clearer than Bungie could do within the limits of the Halo games. Of course, now that 343 has fewer restrictions on their story telling, they have to raise the bar. There are fewer excuses. Who exactly is the Arbiter, what was he thinking during the events in h2? Who is Truth, what on earth was he thinking? Will any of that be addressed? Soon or in the future? Will the end result just be a mashing together of a western story and the usual animé themes? Will we see more Halo? in depth looks at Halo or just animé with Halo characters and vehicles? Does anybody know what the Halo story is? Is there a unified vision? Is the plan just to let diverse groups of talented people do what they want in the Haloverse and rely on their innate talent to produce something good? Would that work? It might just work but would the result be something generic, just a fusion of cool Halo stuff with cool Japanese stuff. I suppose we'll just have to see. But some of that did look cool. Will it be more than just that?
