: I mean, you take every extreme left and right wing fear ever
: and mash it into a big cake and you basically have the UNSC.

None of the two opposing poles are present in the UNSC.

Far left? The UNSC implemented radical social changes through a militant campaign more specific to the far right, sure, but did it implement an egalitarian society? Did it crush conservative opposition and disable much of the military's authority? Did it ban private property and send the owners of economic monopolies to the gulag? No.

Far right? The far right opposes the concepts on which the UNSC was formed. Is xenophobia (directed at humans), ultra-nationalism, societal regulation, nullification of press and individual rights, disablement of labor unions, and terrorist actions directed at civilian political opposition present in the UNSC? Franco would be ashamed to have his name thrown into the same pot as the UNSC.

: Kidnapping children by the hundreds, sending even more into their deaths, human
: experimentation, complete and total censorship with copious amounts of
: propaganda, iron-fisted control over regions of space so far flung out
: that it's completely unreasonable, the list goes on and on.

All those examples have been practiced by democratic governments in recent history (aside from that first one, though I'm pretty sure kids HAVE been kidnapped and used for non-aggressive governmental purposes). Sending people to their deaths? Omaha Beach was considered virtually unconquerable until 1944 - does that mean the US was tyrannic for sending numerous divisions to face the German high ground? Human experimentation? The US Army experimented with anti-biological weapons vaccines during the Cold War. Complete censorship? That's an inherently necessary practice in any war. Iron-fisted control over distant territories? Although that's rarely possible in our days, the Falklands War seems to resemble a modern colonial war.

The UNSC isn't that different from any modern, capitalist government if you come to think about it.
