In Response To: The update is up and its a good one. (Injunfett) If im honest, im becoming a little indifferent with each game update- Halo Wars ive plain given up on, because its looking increasingly rubbish from my perspective, and ODST well... I understand the story reasons for no Elites, but unless the Brutes are getting a MAJOR overhaul from Halo 3, then ODST- a Halo game made by the actual creators of the game rather than some company hauled in by Microsoft for profits- is being placed on my "hmm maybe second hand next christmas" list. I just think that in comparison to the Elites of 1 and 2, the Brutes are pretty standard fodder, and its because they don't have rechargeable armor/shields I reckon- If you get an Legendary major domo's shields down and he gets into cover- you bloody well flush him out and pursue the git blindly before they recharge. You take a legendary Brute captain's armor down and he runs off- you pretty much have the time to let your shields recharge, get some ammo, have a picnic, chat to the wife or mother dearest and then go and smash his face in with a plasma pistol. I just don't think their much of a challenge gameplay wise, character wise well... less said. I guess im happy that we've actually been told this time as opposed to the feeling I got basically the week before Halo 3 when it became crystal clear you couldn't play as the Arbiter (which was a yay to basically everyone else). It just seems a real shame that such a good enemy has been sidelined by the Brutes, who are nothing special really, but yeah- nothing we can do about it. By the by- this is OPINION to all the people who are going to bitch about this post- I accept ODST may be great, Halo Wars may be the greatest RTS ever made in mankind's history, but I don't really believe that, especially the second one. Also- read something further down about the Brutes getting a cover system- "goddamn Jiralhanae, it NEVER ends"
