In Response To: between the lines (Miguel Chavez) : HaloCon = MS-only IP event. : BungieCon (Fanfest) = Everything under the Bungie sun. : interesting to ponder : - M The "between the lines" content here means that at HaloCon, Microsoft would be in control. At BungieCon, Bungie would be in control. This entire E3 dustup is about who controls the relationship with the press and the fans when it comes to Halo projects developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft: Microsoft or Bungie? The creation of a "HaloCon" is another step towards MS trying to assert its rights over the property. Which, frankly, I think are destined to fail, because in the minds of games writers and fans, Halo means Bungie. They recognize that MS lets other studios make Halo games, but when it comes to what Bungie is doing with Halo, they want to hear it from Bungie, not MS PR flacks.
