[more and more OT] Re: Just a thought . . .

In Response To: Re: Just a thought . . . (MakeMineRed)

: I used to live in Portland - NE 38th and Broadway (near the Hollywood theater
: and the old 7-Up tower on Sandy). I now have a friend who lives on
: Carrington Rd (Rt 69) in Bethany. This must be synchronicity. So do you
: bike on 63 and 69?

Yah - my main route for excercise rides is down 63 to 42 (north end of Bethany), across to 69, up as far as I feel like going (towards New Haven), back across 63 (usually to Bethmour), and back home. 15-20 miles, depending on the loop (and the side trips).

I try to stay off 63 as much as I can, but the hill leading to 42 is too much fun to ignore. ;)

When I'm feeling strong, I do it backwards - steeper hills. And recently, I added the 42 hill down to Cheshire (about 10 miles round-trip, all hill - down first, then up).

If you ride, drop me an email - I'll see if I can keep up with you! :)
