But I don't understand the utility of this space. Every time I go through the teleporter I fall to my death. And every time I try to place a forged object, it just drops into the ocean. I suppose there must be a way to 'hang' objects in the air without stacking and deleting, but I don't know it.

Am I missing something elemental here?
