In Response To: Top 5 Maps That Should Be Remade (evildoctorwill) The MLG community, while the most publically organized and visible of all Halo players does not represent the majority of Halo fandom by any stretch. Just peeking at the number of unique players on Bungie.Net reveals that over 1,055,000 players logged into matchmaking, just in the last 24 hours. I have always wondered how many "MLG" amateur, semi pro and pro players there really are out there. What would a highball number be? 100,000? I do not know, but regardless of the number, if you added up the casual players (multiple sites) , the jumpers (HIH), the older players (2O2P), and the multitude of Halo fans who never visit or post on any Halo related websites, this total headcount would easily outnumber, in my estimation, MLG players at least 10 to 1. Now, since somebody has to pay somebody to make these technically difficult maps (they cannot just be 'imported' from the previous two Halo games, they have to be completely re-engineered), who gets the share of attention for consideration of new map design? As incredible as it may sound, many casual, non-pro players have an awful lot of fun even on 'non-MLG' type maps such as Terminal Turf and Headlong. Just my oh-two. : MLG had an article up last night chronicling the Top 5 maps that should be
