In Response To: Top 5 Maps That Should Be Remade (evildoctorwill) : MLG had an article up last night chronicling the Top 5 maps that should be : remade for Halo 3. It's an interesting read. I still want to see a : Boarding Action remake, myself. But, they make some very good, educated : thoughts on these maps. Their comments are still only valid for competitive play. For example- every spawn camper and pistol abuser and "gimme the sniper or I'll betray you" player I know is desperate for Boarding Action to come back. "Press (X) to Veto", please? It was a cool map for the right gametypes- like CTF with no sniping weapons or King of the Hill. That mad scramble to find what level someone was on and get there could be truly fun. But what did everyone always want to play on it? All Snipers. Bo-ring. My Top So-and-So would go something like: 1) Sidewinder / Danger Canyon (They were bsically the same map- I loved 'em both.) 2) Infinity (Still the best vehicle map in the catalogue.) 3) Non-CTF on Hang 'Em High (Rockets. Oh yes. Rockets. See below) +) Other Mentions: -Midship (One of my favorite Slayer maps- 16 players. Crowd 'em in!) -Ascension (Great for objective or team gametypes) -Turf (Really, really fun for big team slayer) Top maps I wish people would give up on: 1) Boarding Action (There's enough camping and sniping on normal maps) 2) Battle/Beaver Creek (I know- let's camp up on the ridge and ruin the whole game!) 3) CTF on Hang Em High (as it stands, this is one of the worst maps for people who abuse glitches in the game to ruin the fun for everyone and feel proud doing it- a lot of fixing would be needed to get it up to speed here)
