In Response To: Halo 2 Xbox and Windows Vista (Schedonnardus) : Could the fact that the new Halo 2 maps being made will be available only to : 360 owners have something to do with Xbox/Vista compatability? : I don't really know enough about how this stuff works, but I thought that : maybe that had something to do with it. : Even if it technilogically doesn't have a connection, it might commercially : have a connection. While Halo 2 Vista does utilize Live Anywhere, enabling cool things like achievements, the cross-platform capabilities of the games do not extend beyond the ability to send messages between the two. As someone playing H2V, you will not be able to play against opponents on H2X or vice versa. As for Halo 3 being cross-platform, we currently have no plans to bring Halo 3 to any platform but the Xbox 360. That said, even if it did eventually happen, it'd still be difficult to achieve because the two will not have been developed simultaneously. KP
