From my perspective, it just seems to me that if the elites are with the humans, then maybe the two species combined their weapons technologies together for some guns, therefore you get this wierd green slime or explosive look when a brute was hit. You can tell that it's been enhanced because the left side of the shotgun has some added components to it. If this is how the elites and the humans makes their weapons, then the part where the guys don't know about that unknown grenade, then maybe just maybe, it a grenade that also has human and elitle technology combined to give a perfect and powerful weapon. | |
