It was originally a real-time strategy game before it ever became a first-person shooter, and there has always been enthusiasm from players for a strategy game based on the Halo universe. Although Microsoft is developing several games specifically to the tastes of Japanese gamers, Halo Wars is meant to appeal to all fans of the franchise and the RTS genre.” So, while there may end up being a lot of interest in Halo Wars from European gamers, it’s probably safe to say that Microsoft still expects the game to sell plenty in North America—and hopefully Japan as well."
