Quite simple. It was long ago, and I wanted to play Zelda, but needed a name. Link is boring, and my other names at the time (Rez and Rantex from a MUD I was on, Riggo from IRC and Roller2002 as an old email name) just didn't fit the setting. I'm a sucker for short names. And, obviously, I never assign myself to a name that DOESN'T start with an R.

So Rox it was. Since then I've used it exactly everywhere, and linked it to the anthropomorphic foxen character I've come to use as my avatar pretty much everywhere. Also because of that link, I tend to go with Roxfox or variations of that when Rox isn't available.

Totally exciting story, eh?
