OK OK I'll give you that Bry, I was only throwing it out as an idea

Very true, I do find that an interesting point, that normal marine could take it to the flood an win ( as LT MCKAY repeatedly did in Halo: The Flood)

(He was only promoted to Sergeant Major right before Halo
a good solider can expect that rank between 30-35)

ouch, right as always, thought Johnson is still bad ass to the core
( the marine Core that is)

NOW THAT IS PONENT give what happen in Halo 2, ( johnson and the arbiter joining up to defeat Tartanus), I believe we haven't seen the last reprocusion of John chice at the end of frist strike.

Put that way, I fell ashamed :-(
I only mentioned it because it could be an improtant find that the forerunners weren't able to find a defence, but johnson ans the spartan one were a key.
