You HAVE to be joking. He said 'the peace of Jesus Christ be with you' - how is that an imposition of ANY kind on you? If he'd said 'the Force be with you', would you be offended that someone was trying to impose Star Wars on your fragile mind? If he'd said 'the many products of Sam Walton be with you', would you feel like someone was oppressing you by forcing you to visit Wal-Mart? He didn't tell you to believe in Christ as your savior, he didn't tell you that you'd be damned to hell if you didn't convert. He wished peace upon you. In his frame of reference, the peace of Christ is familiar, so he chose it over other references of peace. You don't wanna have peace, fine. But take your damn political correctness and go somewhere else... because your post offended me. (For what it's worth: I'm not Christian - but I can tell the difference between oppression and kind wishes.) |
