And I don't know about you, but I would trust Monkey-Boy with his invincible shield and insta-kill hammer to get the job done, especially when all indications are that the Arbiter is dead and buried. : Seeing as how he could fire of the Halos at any point, shows there might be : an alternate mission for Truth to complete. When I think of this, I think : of "conversations from the universe" of a conversation between : elites where they chat a little about why the prophets never tried to : enlist humans. Maybe Truth is coming to us for "forgiveness", : like he'll get that, because he says that we are beginning to win this : war, and being the prophet he is, wants to be on the winning side. No. We are not winning the war, in any way shape or form. We are losing it, badly. The Covenant have a massive fleet that could potentially overrun thre ehundred MAC guns and all out naval forces and then crush our planetary defenses. Truth is not coming to humans because he believes we are winning. : Also another thing I just thought about. What if what we think the Halos do : is actually wrong? Who says the forerunners ever died? What if they just : left leaving what we translated into the Halos being destructive forces : capable of wiping out all sentient life in a gigantiamous range. What if : 343 came to Halo and had somewhat of "amnesia" and inherited his : own interpretation of what the heck is going on at Halo. If he was there : for as long as he says he was, he could come up with that silly of a : story. That's certainly possible, but remember, Cortana has been directly inside Halo's systems. She knows everything about Halo. O ne also has to take into account Penitent Tangent and Gravemind, both of whom pretty much agree that the Halos are a weapon intended for containment. : Which brings up the question of The Flood. Maybe there were never intended to : be on Halo. What if they landed there on accident and what if, they locked : themselves up for protection! From what you say, from a "race" : of sentinels and enforcers and what not. We/covenant found a way into : their proctection and they figured they could take us out, as they can. Again, Cortana refutes this, as does Penitent Tangent and Gravemind. : What if Halo isnt even a destructive force? Each race of guilty spark people : could be on each halo for no reason whatsoever. The "firing : sequence" of Halo could be a mere light show, or even a signal to the : other Floods on the other Halos, but that only apllies to the thoery of : Flood building the Halos, which I just made up. : Who knows, Halo could be a number of things, I have no idea. Halo is a weapon. If nothing else, you have Cortana and Gravemind backing up that claim.
