They may not be film makers, but they know how to tell a story. Getting someone who could share their vision without destroying the franchise is going to require the antithesis of the current "video game movie" variety.

Sure, Bungie may be busy, but if they were able to get the right person and the screenplay didn't suck balls, there is a chance that something enjoyable and wonderful would happen.

I for one am not going to hold my breath though - too many video game movies have ruined my hope for a world where a serious director is willing to make his mark with someone else's baby.
